Wow! I can't believe its a new year already! There's something about getting a fresh start to a year that gets me excited! I feel like starting new projects and (hopefully) finishing old ones! What are your goals for this year?
Last year I only got about 15 pages illustrated in my book, The Great Deep. Life got very busy and hectic! But Lord willing, I'm hoping to get it finished sometime this year. I also have another book to plan for after The Great Deep is completed! My next graphic novel will be an allegory about the complexity of the heart, set in a medieval world. I'm also wanting to continue to create more stickers for my shop. But I'm also wanting to branch out and try new things this year, as well! I don't know if I'll have time, but I would love to start narrating books! Let me know if you would be interested in listening to me read a book, and if you have any book recommendations for me to read. I would probably place it on YouTube. I'm not sure where else yet. ;)
Lord willing, I'm thinking about starting up memberships from buymeacoffee.com/lightoflifebooks , again. The trouble is, I'm not sure I have enough followers who are interested to join. But I'm going to give it a try and see what happens. ;) These projects take me months to make, and it would so nice to have some support to help me make ends meet while the books are being made. Please let me know if you have any ideas of what kind of rewards folks would be interested in receiving as a member. My members are called, "Fireflies". As my Firefly friends they are helping me to spread the light of Jesus as I try to create wholesome, Christian content. Members will be getting an exclusive behind the scenes look at what I'm creating, and see the progress of my book well in advance of its publication. I'm really excited about it and I hope others will be too! :)
Hoping and praying that it will be a year filled with blessings for everyone! Though times may get tougher, we can always count our blessings and see all that God is doing in our hearts and lives. He is always working, he is undaunted by what life throws at us, and his work will be accomplished! We can trust in him to get us through it all! Look up, for our redemption draws nigh!
God bless! Don't forget to let your light shine!
Heather
